Nephrology & Urology

Nephrology & Urology

Through our clinical affiliation with the West Virginia University Medicine we have partnered to offer Nephrology and Urology care to patients with a wide-range of conditions.

Nephrology

Nephrology services are offered at Garrett Regional Medical Center’s Wound Care Center. This partnership opens up greater access for treatment of kidney disease and other chronic kidney conditions for patients in our region. These outpatient services also reduce the amount of travel time for patients, who no longer have to travel great distances to seek treatment.

The West Virginia University Nephrology Section accepts referrals of patients who have a wide range of kidney-related problems, including:

  • acute and chronic kidney disease
  • non-diabetic kidney disease
  • electrolyte disorders
  • acid-base disorders
  • cystic kidney diseases
  • kidney stones
  • diabetic nephropathy (diabetic kidney disease)
  • end stage kidney failure (dependent on dialysis)
  • hypertension (high blood pressure)
