Each year employees at Garrett Regional Medical Center are invited to participate in the GRMC Career Pathway’s Program. The Career Pathway’s Program recognizes and rewards the accomplishments of those who are willing to improve their skills and expertise in clinical, clerical and evidence-based practice above their everyday job requirements. The goal of the Career Pathway Program is to enhance and promote high quality care as well as providing staff an opportunity to advance their professional practice.
Every department has specific criteria based on their needs and each application is individually reviewed by the department leader and Human resources. Employees who successfully complete the program are rewarded for their extra efforts with a bonus at each level. At level 1, employees are eligible for a $250 bonus and at level 2, a $500 bonus. This year GRMC had 37 employees participate and complete the program, for a total combined bonus amount of $15,500!
The Career pathways program is a great opportunity for employees to become engaged and help enhance their career by working through department goals. Congratulations to everyone who took the time to participate in this years program!
The 2020 program has now closed. The next program will begin in June 2021.
