NURSES NEEDED- LPN and RN

SIGN-ON BONUS OF UP TO $7500

 

We have full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities on the following nursing units:

  • ER
  • ICU
  • PACU
  • Medical-Surgical

Positions will work shifts as scheduled and may include rotating weekends, rotating holidays, and/or call rotations.

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing or have the ability to obtain before date of hire. ACLS required or willing to obtain within 6 months.

 

EMERGENCY ROOM TECHNICIAN

Under the supervision of the physicians and/or Registered Nurse, the Emergency Department Technician performs various patient care activities necessary in providing for the personal needs and comfort of patient. They assist licensed personnel as assigned. The E.D. Technician performs clerical duties including order entry, supply billing, ordering of supplies, and answering phones throughout each shift.

High school or equivalent plus 3-12 month training program required. Training in phlebotomy.   Required Licenses: Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedics. EMT-B preferred or equivalent in-house training required.  CPR required.

 

SECURITY GUARD:

Secures the premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, permitting entry, as necessary.  Maintains a high visibility presence and prevents illegal or inappropriate actions.  Must have the ability to respond and cope with stressful patient related situations.  As the Facilities Maintenance Assistant, the individual will also assist the Plant Operation’s Department in building maintenance and repairs as assigned including but not limited to painting, mechanical repairs, and snow removal.

High School diploma or GED equivalent.  Must be at least 18 years of age or older.  Security experience preferred.  Past or present members of the Armed Services are encouraged to apply.

 

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER

Garrett Regional Medical Center, a WVU Health System affiliated hospital is seeking a full-time Certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at our Behavioral Health Clinic.

Preference would be given to candidates who have at least 2 years’ experience in the behavioral health field. Candidates would have the professional knowledge and skills to be able to evaluate, diagnose, and deliver a plan of care for patients on an individual basis.

 

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER

The Clinical Licensed Social Worker will be responsible for interviewing clients presenting to the Behavioral Health Center.  They will provide counseling services and assist with resources and ancillary services to provide comprehensive care to the clients. They will collaborate with the team to develop plans of care for the clients to maximize their state of wellness.  They will make consults to various community agencies and assist with other social needs as presented.  The Social Worker will participate in weekly patient conference with WVU psychiatrists.  They must have the ability to respond to emergency situations and de-escalation techniques.  They will be responsible for accurate and timely record documentation for client care and billing.

MA/MS/MSW required.  Social Workers must be license eligible for LCSW-C.  Approximately 1 year of related work experience required.

 

NURSE PRACTITIONER for URGENT CARE CENTER

Part-Time opportunity available!

Preference would be given to candidates who have at least 2 years’ experience in primary, urgent or emergency care services.  Candidates would have the professional knowledge and skills to be able to evaluate, diagnose, and deliver a plan of care for patients on an individual basis.

Our Grantsville Medical Center/Medical Associates of Grantsville, LLC location offers all the care you need in one convenient location including Urgent Care, Primary Care, Lab/X-Ray Services, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and DOT and CDL physicals as well as for school and sports.

Applicants must have Maryland license or ability to obtain as well as Controlled Substances Certification.

 

CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT – GRANTSVILLE MEDICAL CENTER

The Certified Medical Assistant assists the physician and patients by providing clinical and administrative support in the office and clinic setting. The CMA will accurately obtain all demographic and payer information needed to produce a patient record. Accept payment, print receipts and prepares daily deposits accurately. Performs outpatient pre-authorization/insurance verifications as required and informs patients about financial liabilities, requests appropriate copay and deductible amount at time of services. Obtains vitals and prepare the patient for examination by the medical provider. The CMA will assist the provider as required by the provider.

High school diploma or equivalent with experience in Medical Assisting required.

National Medical Assistant Certification required.  CPR certification required.

 

BILLING/CODING SPECIALIST – GRANTSVILLE MEDICAL CENTER

The Billing/Coding Specialist must have working knowledge of eClinicalWorks; Review provider’s notes for complete documentation and correct selection of ICD10 diagnoses codes and CPT procedure codes, and make sure all appropriate codes are entered in software to be billed. Communicate with providers for completeness and appropriateness; Stay up-to-date on industry standards and changes for billing purposes and educate providers; Create claims in practice management software; Submit paper and electronic claims to insurance companies; Check insurance eligibility as needed; Post payments in practice management software from all sources (credit cards, paper checks and explanation of benefits and electronic remittance advice); Follow up on all denied and outstanding claims in a timely manner; Notify participating insurance companies of overpayments as necessary; Send patient statements and work accounts receivable in a timely manner; Assist in month-end balancing and lock/hard close; Assist Office Manager with bank deposits and other administrative duties as needed; Have a working knowledge of the duties at the front desk including greet and check patients in and out, obtain copy of current insurance cards, collect appropriate copays from patients, enter patient data in software, answer phones, schedule appointments, remind patients of appointments, communicate with insurance companies and physician offices for referrals and authorizations, attend fax machine & distribute appropriately, filing, transfer of patient records, requisition supplies, equipment, and services as directed.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification in Coding preferred (CPC, CCA, or CCS). Medical terminology training preferred. Health insurance knowledge preferred. Excellent customer service skills, teamwork, professional demeanor, grammar and written skills required. Previous healthcare billing or collection experience preferred.

CPR certification required.

 

UNIT SECRETARY

The Unit Secretary attends the nursing station and performs clerical and receptionist duties. Requisition supplies, equipment, and services as directed.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous work experience or training in clerical duties required. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. CPR certification required.

 

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT:

Position will work shifts as scheduled, rotating weekends, and rotating holidays.

High school graduate with nursing assistant experience or training preferred.   MUST be certified by the Maryland Board of Nursing.

 

ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE

Accurately obtains all demographic and payer information needed to produce a patient record. Handles switchboard and paging functions for the hospital. Accepts payments, writes receipts and prepares daily deposit accurately. Performs outpatient pre-authorizations/insurance verifications as required and informs patients about financial liabilities. Requests appropriate co-pay and deductible amount at time of registration. Responds accurately to Caring Program or payment plan inquiries.

High school diploma or equivalent with training or experience in general clerical functions.

 

MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST or MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN

full-time opening for a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to work primarily second and third shift, rotating weekends and rotating holidays.

Candidate should have experience of the day-to-day operation of all areas of the Lab. Performs standard tests, obtains and prepares specimens, makes reagents, determines and evaluates results, performs quality control procedures.

MT/MLT (ASCP) certification or the equivalent is required.

 

HOUSEKEEPER

The Housekeeper cleans and supplies patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, Laboratories, bathrooms, offices and any other areas that may be assigned.  Also able to clean carpets, refinish floors, and burnish corridors and rooms. Must be willing to cross-train in Laundry Department.

High school graduate or the equivalent preferred, but not required. Must have reading, writing and math skills.  Previous experience preferred.
