We have full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities on the following nursing units:

Positions will work shifts as scheduled with rotating weekends and rotating holidays.

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing or have the ability to obtain before date of hire. ACLS required or willingness to obtain within 6 months.



Full-time Emergency Room Technician needed.

Position will work primarily 2nd and 3rd shifts, rotating weekends and rotating holidays. ERT or CMA experience preferred. Training in phlebotomy and ECG acquisition and/or previous experience in hospital-based emergency care preferred. EMT-B certification preferred.



The ED Nurse Navigator identifies and eliminates barriers that prevent individuals from getting the right care, at the right time, and by the right person.

This may involve educating an individual about the needs for timely screening, helping someone access health insurance or low cost screening, finding transportation to treatment, arranging alternate child care while a parent receives care, helping a person access information about treatment options, or connecting to a support group; the navigator helps the patient find and get the care they need. The navigator is a professional registered nurse with clinical knowledge who offers individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers. Using the nursing process the navigator provides education and resources to facilitate information decision making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of treatment.

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field preferred. Registered Nurse license with Maryland Board of Nursing required. Certification with Case Management preferred.

2-3 years of nursing related experience preferred.



RCP to work on an as needed basis.

Performs arterial blood gas procedures, respiratory therapy treatments, EKG procedures, CPR ventilation maintenance and clerical filing.

AA degree from approved Respiratory Therapy program required. CRT or RRT, CPR required. Maryland State Respiratory Care Practitioner Certification required.

Patient Sitter to work on an as needed basis.

The Patient Sitter provides services of an observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation.

High school graduate or equivalent. Good communications skills. Ability to deal with a wide variety of individuals. CPR required, but offered internally.



Part-time (32 hours per week) Admissions Representative.

Individual must be self-motivated and able to work independently.  Will work primarily 2nd and 3rd shifts, rotating weekends and rotating holidays.  Responsible for accurately obtaining all demographic and payer information needed to produce a patient record.  Handles switchboard and paging functions for the hospital.  Accepts payments, writes receipts and prepares daily deposit accurately.  Performs outpatient insurance verification as required and informs patients about financial liabilities.  Requests appropriate co-pay and deductible amount at time of registration.  Responds accurately to Caring Program or payment plan inquiries.

High school graduate with training in typing, filing and office procedures.  Computer experience preferred.  Hospital experience preferred.  Excellent communications skills a must.



Full-time Surgical Tech positions open.  Positions will work as scheduled, Monday-Friday and will participate in the on-call schedule.

Under the direction of the Surgeon and/or the RN, the OR Tech is responsible for performing various technical functions in preparing for, and assisting with, surgical procedures.  Maintains and cares for the unit, equipment and supplies.  Provides patient comfort and safety.

Certification as a Surgical Technician is preferred, but not required.  Approximately one year of related work experience in healthcare required.



Full-time Radiographer to work primarily second and third shifts, rotating weekends and rotating holidays.

Operates radiographic/CT equipment to perform diagnostic x-ray and basic CT examinations as directed by physicians according to established standards and practices. Exercises professional judgment and attitude in performance of services and provides appropriate patient care. May act as a preceptor for Radiologic Technology students from Radiology programs that use GRMC as a clinical site.

Graduate from an approved school of Radiology Technology with registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Maryland State License. CT experience preferred. CT certification required or must be obtain by June 2017.

Current opening for a Director of Health Information Management.

Responsible for the management of all activities of the Health Information Management department in accordance with accepted standards and administrative policies including Medical Records, Coding and Transcription.

Maintains quality services through qualified staff management of the budget and accomplishment of goals and objectives. Selects, trains/orients and assigns department staff. Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance and initiates personnel actions. Responsible for the release of information from the medical record. Maintains strict confidentiality as well as HIPAA and Joint Commission compliance.

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. R.H.I.T. certification required, R.H.I A. preferred. 3 years of supervisory experience required. 3-5 years management responsibility in Medical Records department preferred. Strong interpersonal skills required. Good verbal and written communication skills required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) required. Must have experience with HIM computer systems (encoder, dictation, transcription and MIS). Knowledge of Meditech and 3M Coding Software preferred. Must have knowledge of ICD10 and CPT guidelines as well as HIPAA and Joint Commission Standards. Strong analytical ability preferred.



Full-time Information Systems Help Desk Technician.

Assists with the responsibility for the continuous functioning of all workstations, printers, etc., and a variety of customer support services. Assists the user community of customers with technical expertise in installing, maintaining, upgrading and repairing Hospital owned computer hardware and software. Responsible for IS help desk coverage, resolve

technical problems and difficulties in a timely manner and act as a liaison between the user community and the Information Systems Department.

High school graduate or equivalent, plus 3-12 month training program or comparable experience. CompTIA A+ certification required.

Performs routine clerical and receptionist duties in the Emergency Department. Transcribes Doctor’s orders. Performs all other related duties.

High school diploma required. Knowledge of Medical Terminology and previous clerical and/or patient care experience is desirable. Performs all other related duties.


Unit Secretary for Med-Surg Unit to work on an as needed basis.

Performs routine clerical and receptionist duties in the Emergency Department. Transcribes Doctor’s orders. Performs all other related duties.
