We have full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities on the following nursing units:

Positions will work shifts as scheduled and may include rotating weekends, rotating holidays, and/or call rotations.

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nursing or have the ability to obtain before date of hire. ACLS required or willing to obtain within 6 months.



The Security Guard at Garrett Regional Medical Center secures the premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, permitting entry, as necessary. The Security Guard will maintain high visibility presence and prevent illegal or inappropriate actions.  Must have the ability to respond and cope with stressful patient related situations.  As the Facilities Maintenance Assistant, the individual will also assist the Plant Operation’s Department in building maintenance and repairs as assigned including but not limited to painting, mechanical repairs, and snow removal.

High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Security experience preferred. Past or present members of the Armed Services are      encouraged to apply.

High school graduate with nursing assistant experience or training preferred.   MUST be certified by the Maryland Board of Nursing.



full-time opening for a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician to work primarily second and third shift, rotating weekends and rotating holidays.

Candidate should have experience of the day-to-day operation of all areas of the Lab. Performs standard tests, obtains and prepares specimens, makes reagents, determines and evaluates results, performs quality control procedures.

MT/MLT (ASCP) certification or the equivalent is required.



Collects blood and other specimens, ensures suitability and integrity of specimens collected, performs duties in areas including inpatient, outpatient, and off-site services and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of patients following established standards, policies, and procedures. Also responsible for preparing specimens for testing, recording, and reporting of waived test results.

High School or equivalent plus 3-12 month training program required. Completion of a nationally accredited phlebotomy program with ability to obtain certification required. 3 months to 1 year related work experience preferred. Driver’s license with clear MVA report. Driver’s Safety Course required. Phlebotomy certification required.



The Patient Liaison assists in establishing insurance coverage for uninsured patients using the Maryland Healthcare Connection. Enrolls all eligible and uninsured individuals into health coverage, including facilitating enrollment into Medicaid, Maryland Children’s Health Program, Qualified Health Plans and Qualified Dental Plans.  Accurately determines and verifies insurance coverage, eligibility and benefits on scheduled same day surgery accounts.  Provides, discusses, and documents insurance coverage, eligibility, and anticipated out-of-pocket expenses with all applicable scheduled patients.  Also provides assistance to patients with The Caring Program application and Meditech Patient Portal.  Responsible for processing release of information (ROI), specifically patient medical record requests in a timely and efficient manner.

High school graduate required. Three years work experience required in related fields. Should have a working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance requirements, HIPPA and other applicable regulations associated with medical claims. Thorough knowledge of Meditech Release of Information (ROI) application preferred. Must possess computer skills necessary to preform duties in a time sensitive and effective manner. Office knowledge of telephone, scanning and faxing required. Thorough knowledge of Meditech Portal applications preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
