The Plant Operations Coordinator performs diversified administrative, secretarial and receptionist duties for the department as needed. The Coordinator performs standard and advanced clerical duties such as typing, transcribing, filing, interfacing with staff and public, scheduling, timekeeping, and telephone duties as assigned.   The Facilities Coordinator performs work order and file management for the facilities groups which includes the Plant Operations, Bio-Med, and Contract Services. The Facilities Coordinator will assist in the activities of the Safety and Security, Emergency Management, Environment of Care and the Emergency Operations procedures of the hospital in order to comply with the standards of the Joint Commission.

High School diploma or GED equivalent. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications with computer skills necessary to perform duties in various software systems in an effective manner. The Candidate must possess the knowledge of and ability to complete job specific tasks as outlined in job description/ performance appraisal. Strong preference given to candidates who possess prior leadership or office management experience.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Facilities Management, the Facilities Engineer will work under the direction of the AVP of Facilities Management to support the Facilities and Engineering Department in the daily operations. They will assist the AVP in the architectural, engineering and construction of all expansion, renovation and capital projects of the facility. Duties include daily management and technical support to the Plant Operations group, compliance to Joint Commission standards related to the F/E plans, policies, and procedures; support the Plant Operations group of management with IT related systems. The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for assisting with the creation and updating of the reference library and equipment files which will include the CADD update of all drawings on record.   The Facilities Engineer will assist in the activities of the Safety and Security, Emergency Management, Environment of Care and the Emergency Operations procedures of the hospital.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields required.   Prior experience in facilities engineering, facilities maintenance or construction management preferred. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, AutoCAD, Process Improvement, and Lean Six Sigma. Candidate must be capable of obtaining a Maryland Grade 3 Stationary Engineers license within 3 years of hire date.

The Security Guard at Garrett Regional Medical Center secures the premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, permitting entry, as necessary. The Security Guard will maintain high visibility presence and prevent illegal or inappropriate actions.  Must have the ability to respond and cope with stressful patient and visitor related situations.  As the Facilities Maintenance Assistant, the individual will also assist the Plant Operation’s Department in building maintenance and repairs as assigned including but not limited to painting, mechanical repairs, and snow removal.

High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Security experience preferred. Past or present members of the Armed Services are encouraged to apply.

The Forms Coordinator will oversee the development and maintenance for all forms within GRMC. This includes updating existing forms in all areas, creating new forms as needed for regulatory and compliance issues, expanding the current Form Fast program to other areas of the hospital and working with the Forms Committee to present new and updated forms for review and approval.  This position will also communicate all changes to the various departments and offices.  This position will serve as the point of contact for physician practice offices in the area for processing of their operating room consents and other patient information documents related to procedures completed here at GRMC.  This position will ensure that all forms meet the GRMC standards and follow guidelines related to Joint Commission, legal, HIPPA, and other regulatory formats.

High School Diploma. Excellent computer skills with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. Will be required to take Form Fast training.  Experience with other computer programs including Meditech preferred.  Medical Terminology required.

Accurately obtains all demographic and payer information needed to produce a patient record. Handles switchboard and paging functions for the hospital.  Accepts payments, writes receipts and prepares daily deposit accurately.  Requests appropriate co-pay and deductible amount at time of registration.

High School diploma or equivalent required.  Experience in general clerical functions preferred.

Performs a variety of tasks in kitchen, tray line, cafeteria, storage, and dishwashing areas. Prepares and cooks food for patients, employees, and visitors according to standards, practices, and procedures. Assists in the overall sanitation of the department and equipment.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Approximately 1 year of on-the-job training in food preparations, cooking, and principles of sanitation and safety preferred.

  • Full-Time
  • Rotate shifts between 5:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Rotating weekends, rotating holidays


Provides assessment and evaluation of mental health patients in order to determine the appropriate plan for services.

MA/MS/MSW/MBS required. Must be eligible for LGCS/LCSW/LCSW-C/LCPC.

The Certified Medical Assistant assists the physician and patients by providing clinical and administrative support in the office and clinics of Specialty physicians of Garrett County, LLC. The medical assistant will accurately obtain all demographic and payer information needed to produce a patient record.  Accepts payment, print receipts and prepares daily deposits accurately. Performs outpatient pre-authorization/insurance verifications as required and informs patients about financial liabilities, requests appropriate copay and deductible amount at time of services.  The Medical Assistant will also obtain vitals and prepare the patient for examination by the medical provider. The Medical Assistant will assist the provider as required by the provider.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Training or experience in Medical Assisting required. National Medical Assistant Certification required.  CPR required.

Grantsville Urgent Care Center:

Women’s Health, Dr. Abigail Feathers:

  • Operating Room: Full-Time (Requires Call Rotation)

Self-scheduling staffing models are available in the ED, ICU, and OB to promote work/life balance! Various shifts available with rotating weekends and holidays. Applicant must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current license in Maryland or Multi-State licensure. Certifications specific by department are required but can be obtained using our internal education program. Assistance for fees to transfer or apply for license is available.


The Emergency Department Nurse Navigator identifies and eliminates barriers that prevent individuals from getting the right care, at the right time, and by the right person. This may involve educating a person about the needs for timely screening, helping someone access health insurance or low cost screening, finding transportation to treatment, arranging alternate child care while a parent receives care, helping a person access information about treatment options, or connecting to a support group; the navigator helps the patient find and get the care they need. The navigator is a professional registered nurse with clinical knowledge who offers individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers. Using the nursing process the navigator provides education and resources to facilitate information decision making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of treatment.

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field required. Registered Nurse license with Maryland Board of Nursing required. Certification with Case Management preferred. 2-3 years of nursing related experience preferred.
