HOUSEKEEPER

Cleans walls, lights, fixtures, and furniture in all assigned areas of the hospital to maintain as aseptic environment and prevent healthcare-associated infection, using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals. Cleans, waxes, extracts, and maintains floors, carpeting, and stairwells and assists with heavy cleaning throughout the hospital.

High School diploma or GED preferred but not required. Must have reading, writing and math skills adequate to work independently to perform duties in a safe, competent manner. Previous related experience of at least 3 months preferred.

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week
  • Primarily Second Shift
  • Rotating weekends, rotating holidays

 

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT STAFF NURSE

Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Coordinates and implements patient care specific  to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. Ensures that quality    care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the units standard of  care.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nurse Examiners. Must have ACLS and PALS or be willing to obtain within 6 months.

  • Full-Time, 36 hours per week
  • Works shifts as scheduled
  • Rotating weekends, rotating holidays

 

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT NURSE NAVIGATOR

BASIC FUNCTIONS:     The Emergency Department Nurse Navigator identifies and eliminates barriers that prevent individuals from getting the right care, at the right time, and by the right person. This may involve educating a person about the needs for timely screening, helping someone access health insurance or low cost screening, finding transportation to treatment, arranging alternate child care while a parent receives care, helping a person access information about treatment options, or connecting to a support group; the navigator helps the patient find and get the care they need. The navigator is a professional registered nurse with clinical knowledge who offers individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers. Using the nursing process the navigator provides education and resources to facilitate information decision making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care throughout all phases of treatment.

  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field required. Registered Nurse license with Maryland Board of Nursing required. Certification with Case Management preferred. 2-3 years of nursing related experience preferred.

MASSAGE THERAPIST – Independent Contractor – Form 1099

To offer therapeutic massage therapy to clients and to provide courteous service to promote a positive experience.

Successful completion of a massage therapy course at an approved school or apprenticeship program and ability to perform a variety of massage techniques. High school diploma or a GED certificate or demonstration of equivalent skills. State license as a massage therapist. Ability to keep careful records of services performed. Friendly, courteous manner that makes clients feel welcomed and relaxed. Well groomed, neat, professional appearance. Good organizational skills for managing massage services and for performing all duties without immediate and direct supervision. Good mobility and manual dexterity required by nature of services performed.

  • Hours based on clinic and client need
  • Primarily days, Monday – Friday

 

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)  –  Grantsville Medical Center

Responsible and accountable for the care of patients seeking primary care and/or urgent care services. Coordinates and implements patient care under the direction of the patient’s Provider. Ensures that quality care is provided in a efficient and safe manner consistent with the facility’s standard of care. Prep charts for the next business day by ensuring lab results, consults and other pertinent information are on the chart. Make sure appropriate consent forms have been signed. Refill medications as required by Provider. Pre-screen faxes and test results and bring any abnormal results to the Provider’s attention; assists with care coordination with the patient’s PCP and other community agencies. Answers phone calls and assists patients with questions regarding their care. Assists in obtaining vitals and histories and assist the provider as needed.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nurse Examiners. CPR required.

CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Pharmacy Technicians (PT’s) assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. PT’s work only under the supervision of a pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a pharmacist.

High School Diploma or equivalent. College courses desirable but not required. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy required.  Computer experience necessary.  CPR required

LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER- OVERSIGHT

The Clinical Social Worker will also be responsible for the oversight of LMSWs at both the hospital and off-site clinic locations.

Master’s Degree required. Approximately 1 year of related work experience required. LCSW-C licensure required.

CRNA

A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who practices both autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of health providers on the inter-professional team to deliver high-quality, holistic, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services. The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.

Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor. Holds current active state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Maryland and complies with any applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CRNAs. Is currently certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution or state.

ICU RN

Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. Ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the units standard of care.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current registration with the Maryland State Board of Nurse Examiners or West Virginia compact licensure required. Approximately one year ICU experience preferred.

  • Full-Time, 36 hours per week
  • Primarily Night Shift – 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
  • rotating weekends, rotating holiday

 

CRISIS COUNSELOR

Provides assessment and evaluation for mental health patients in order to determine the appropriate plan for services.

Master’s level Social Work or Related Field preferred. Will consider LBSW or BSN with mental health experience.

EMERGENCY PHYSICIAN

Professional Emergency Physician Services, LLC (PEPS) has a need for an Emergency Medicine Physician to complement our Emergency Department. PEPS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Garrett Regional Medical Center, a WVU Health System affiliated hospital.

This position is full-time and offers a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to join an established team at a competitive rate of pay.

Preference would be given to candidates who have at least 2 years’ experience in primary, urgent or emergency care services. Candidates would have the professional knowledge and skills to be able to evaluate, diagnose, and deliver a plan of care for patients on an individual basis.

Our Emergency Department receives nearly 19,000 visits annually. Our Operating Room consists of three OR’s and two Endoscopy rooms conducting roughly 3,000 general surgeries and 1,500 endoscopies annually. Our hospital has near 2,400 admissions, and 330 births each year.

ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as directed by physicians according to established standards and practices. Exercises professional judgement/ attitude in performance of services and provides appropriate patient care. May serve as a preceptor for ultrasound students from ultrasound programs that use GRMC as a clinical site.

High School Diploma or equivalent plus 13-24 months training program required. 1 year of related work experience preferred. ARDMS certification required. CPR required.

  • Part-Time, 24 hours per week
  • Requires weekday, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation

 

OPERATING ROOM REGISTERED NURSE

EXPERIENCED Operating Room Nurses are eligible for a $5000 signing bonus with two year commitment.

Self-scheduling staffing models are available in the ED to promote work/life balance! Various shifts available with rotating weekends and holidays. Flexible scheduling opportunities allow for no mandating. Temporary housing available across from the hospital. Re-location expenses up to $3000.

Applicant must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current license in Maryland or Multi-State licensure. Certifications specific by department are required but can be obtained using our internal education program. Assistance for fees to transfer or apply for license is available.

OPERATING ROOM TECHNICIAN

EXPERIENCED Operating Room Technicians are eligible for a $2500 signing bonus with two year commitment.

The Operating Room Technician, under the direction of the Surgeon or RN, performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other professionals in the operating room. Performs similar duties in other areas of the hospital as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Medical Terminology and Anatomy coursework required or willing to obtain within one year of employment. Graduate from an accredited school of surgical technology preferred.  Surgical Technician Certification preferred.  Approximately one year of related work experience required.  Individual understands they will be ineligible to transfer from the department for a period of two years.

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Hourly
