*HOUSEKEEPER*-$500 SIGNING BONUS!!

Cleans walls, lights, fixtures, and furniture in all assigned areas of the hospital to maintain as aseptic environment and prevent healthcare-associated infection, using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals. Cleans, waxes, extracts, and maintains floors, carpeting, and stairwells and assists with heavy cleaning throughout the hospital.

  • Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week
  • Primarily Second Shift
  • Rotating Weekends and Holidays
  • Experience preferred. Training provided!

Accurately obtains all demographic and payer information needed to produce a patient record. Handles switchboard and paging functions for the hospital.  Accepts payments, writes receipts and prepares daily deposit accurately.  Requests appropriate co-pay and deductible amount at time of registration.

High School diploma or equivalent required.  Experience in general clerical functions preferred.      

  • Full-Time and Part-Time, 32-40 Hours per Week
  • Primarily Second and Third Shifts
  • Rotating Weekends and Holidays
  • Experience preferred. Training provided!

 

CERTIFIED PHLEBOTOMIST

The Phlebotomist collects blood and other specimens, ensures suitability and integrity of specimens collected, performs duties in areas including inpatient, outpatient, and off-site services and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of patients following established standards, policies, and procedures. Also responsible for preparing specimens for testing, recording, and reporting of waived test results.

High School or equivalent required. Completion of a nationally accredited phlebotomy program required. Phlebotomy certification required or able to obtain within three (3) months of time in position.  Three months to one year related work experience preferred.

  • Part-Time, 30 Hours
  • Primarily Second Shift (1:00pm-7:00pm)
  • Rotating Weekends and Holidays

 

MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST

The Patient Financial Services Medical Billing Specialist will be goal-oriented, revenue driven, highly accurate and a motivated Biller. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: billing all insurance carriers, consistently following up on unpaid claims utilizing aging reports for Medicare, filing corrected claims when appropriate to obtain maximum reimbursement according to HIPPA and establish and maintain strong relationships with providers, patients and fellow staff. Secondary duties include but are not limited to interacting with other departments to ensure correct processing of inpatient and outpatient claims.

High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer Associates degree in Medical Billing and Coding or Accounting; however, two years of experience in lieu of education may also be considered. CPR Certification required or must be able to obtain within 6 months of employment.

  • Full-Time, 40 Hours
  • Primarily Day Shift, Monday-Friday
  • No Weekends or Holidays Required

 

NURSING OPPORTUNITIES

 

CNA

The Certified Nursing Assistant must be a high school graduate or equivalent with nursing assistant experience preferred.  Applicant should be certified by the Maryland Board of Nursing or eligible to receive licensure. Assistance for fees to transfer or apply for licensure is available.

CMA

The Certified Medical Assistant assists the physician and patients by providing clinical and administrative support in the office and clinics of Specialty physicians of Garrett County, LLC. The medical assistant will accurately obtain all demographic and payer information needed to produce a patient record.  Accepts payment, print receipts and prepares daily deposits accurately. Performs outpatient pre-authorization/insurance verifications as required and informs patients about financial liabilities, requests appropriate copay and deductible amount at time of services.  The Medical Assistant will also obtain vitals and prepare the patient for examination by the medical provider. The Medical Assistant will assist the provider as required by the provider.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Training or experience in Medical Assisting required. National Medical Assistant Certification required.  CPR required.

  • Primarily Day Shift
  • Rotating Saturdays and Holidays

RN

  • Emergency Department: Full-Time
  • Med-Surg: Part-Time
  • ICU: Full-Time
  • OB: Full-Time
  • Operating Room: Full-Time (Requires Call Rotation)

Self-scheduling staffing models are available in the ED, ICU, and OB to promote work/life balance! Various shifts available with rotating weekends and holidays. Flexible scheduling opportunities allow for no mandating. Temporary housing available across from the hospital. Re-location expenses up to $3000.

Applicant must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current license in Maryland or Multi-State licensure. Certifications specific by department are required but can be obtained using our internal education program. Assistance for fees to transfer or apply for license is available.

 

LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER

  • Full-Time- Behavioral Health & Wellness Center
    • Monday-Friday, Primarily Day Shift
  • Per Diem- Crisis Call Coverage for Garrett Regional Medical Center
    • Various hours and shifts
    • Does not require -C credentialing.

Provides assessment and evaluation for mental health patients in order to determine the appropriate plan for services.

Master’s Degree required. Must be eligible for LCSW/LCSW-C.
