GRMC recently unveiled a million-dollar fundraising campaign to purchase a new CT Scanner that will enhance patient care through state-of-the-art technology. While GRMC’s current scanner is adequate, the time it takes to produce a scan is much longer than that found in newer models. Upgrading to the latest technology would enable GRMC’s radiology team to provide medical staff with the images they need quickly and efficiently.
The Garrett Regional Medical Center Foundation serves as the development arm of the hospital to raise funds to continuously improve facilities, equipment, services and programs in addition to providing funding for employee reimbursement scholarships.
The Foundation was established September 1, 1987, at the suggestion of Jacquelyn Shirer, who at that time was a member of the Hospital Board of Governors.
Since its inception, the foundation has raised more than 12 millions dollars through community support by individual donors, businesses, and other foundations and non-profits.
Today, our foundation focuses on securing funds for critically important services to allow for state of the art healthcare.
