Garrett Regional Medical Center is proud to announce the addition of Tonya Sherrill-Kuhn, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, to their staff. Sherrill-Kuhn specializes in nutritional support ranging from tolerance issues to critical care.
After receiving her Master’s Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from Marywood University, Sherrill-Kuhn worked for Western Maryland Health Services as a dietitian dealing primarily in critical care for 16 years before coming to GRMC this fall.
“Tonya Sherrill-Kuhn brings years of experience providing nutritional guidance to patients suffering from a broad range of conditions including heart disease, diabetes, food allergies, and cancer. We are very excited to welcome her to our team,” said Kendra Thayer, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services. “Nutritional education and dietary plans are important services for our patients and provide the information they need to better manage their health.”
Sherrill-Kuhn also specializes in nutritional support for pediatric and NICU patients, including those with special needs. She hopes to expand child nutrition services at GRMC by creating a nutrition clinic that will provide parents and children guidance in leading a healthy lifestyle.
