Garrett Regional Medical Center recently welcomed H. John Park, MD to the medical staff. Dr. Park is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement, arthroscopy, cartilage restorations, sports injuries, and trauma. He has practiced for over 35 years in medical centers across the country, most recently at Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma, Alabama. At GRMC he will be joining Dr. Dona Alvarez and Dr. Todd Feathers at Garett County Orthopaedics as an orthopedic surgeon.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Park to the GRMC surgical staff,” said Kendra Thayer, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Operating Officer at GRMC. “There is a growing need for orthopedic care in our region, and Dr. Park brings a great deal of experience that will enable Garrett County Orthopaedics and GRMC to better serve the community.”
Dr. Park received a Bachelors of Science in Pre-Med from New York University and a Medical Doctorate from Catholic Medical College in Seoul, South Korea. He completed an internship in general surgery at Brown University Medical College in Providence, Rohde Island, before completing his residency in the department of Orthopedics at Tufts New England University Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
