The new Omicron variant is spreading faster and more easily than previous variants. The monoclonal infusions used to treat Delta are not showing effectiveness with this new variant and are no longer indicated for use.

GRMC will hold two Virtual Public Forums with West Virginia University Medicine to provide area citizens with information on its proposed full partnership with WVU. The forums will be held Tuesday, December 14th, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., and then again on Monday, December 20th, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The sessions will include a short presentation as well as a question-and-answer period, with members of the public able to submit questions ahead of time.
