Garrett Regional Medical Center welcomes Clarice Tannebaum, Certified Nurse Practitioner, to Garrett Family Medicine.
Tannebaum received a Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing from Daemen College in Amherst, New York before attending Frontier Nursing University for her nurse practitioner degree. While obtaining her degree she worked at Chautauqua Center, a multidisciplinary federally qualified health home clinic in New York, to fulfill her preceptorship. While at Chautauqua Center, she provided comprehensive primary care to underserved populations throughout Chautauqua County. Services included health education, illness prevention, family planning, well-baby and women visits, and gynecological exams.
“We are excited to welcome Clarice Tannebaum, NP-C, to the team at Garrett Family Medicine,” said Kendra Thayer, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services. “Her experience in rural healthcare and dedication to improving the overall health in a community make her an excellent addition to our staff.”
Before pursuing her nurse practitioner degree, Tannebaum spent four years in bedside nursing, where she gained a wide range of experience which included inpatient mental health, detox, and emergency medicine. She is certified in pediatric advanced life support and is a certified trauma nurse.

I look forward to caring for patients in the Garrett County community and surrounding areas.”
As a certified nurse practitioner, Tannebaum provides advanced level care, including diagnosis, treatment, health promotion, health prevention and disease management. Nurse practitioners (NP) are advanced practice registered nurses who undergo rigorous national certification, periodic peer review, and clinical outcome evaluations. NPs are trained to assess patient needs, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, diagnose disease, and formulate and prescribe treatment plans.
Garrett Family Medicine provides comprehensive primary care services for people of all ages, from infants and children through those in need of geriatric care. The practice is located at 69 Wolf Acres Drive, Oakland, in the building that formerly housed Dr. Daniel Miller’s practice.
